Sarah Fahey - Counselor
Hailing from the U.S, Sarah is a Master’s-certified school counselor for middle school students. She is also actively involved in numerous non-profit organizations in San Juan del Sur.
With over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds in the U.S., Sarah is our residential counselor, attending to the social/emotional needs of our campers. Sarah is responsible for leading team-building and confidence-boosting activities for our summer camps.
Javier Baldovinos - Sports Director
A native Nicaraguan, Javier (Baldo) is an avid surfer, outdoor enthusiast, and bilingual surf guide. As the president of the Nicaraguan Surf Circuit, Baldo has organized and led the Junior National Team on numerous surf events across Panama and Nicaragua.
With ten years of surfing experience, Baldo is an expert surf instructor and highly knowledgeable of the Pacific Ocean and top surf breaks.
Justin Fahey - Activities Director
Responsible, fun loving, and bilingual are three words to describe Justin. An avid sports fan from the Boston area, Justin learned Spanish from time spent living in Barcelona, Spain, and San Juan del Sur Nicaragua.Currently a basketball coach in San Juan, Justin has enjoyed athletics and youth sports all his life.
After moving to Nicaragua with his wife Sarah in early 2008, Justin discovered the joys of surfing. With the ability to combine discipline and fun, Justin has an incredible schedule of exciting and educational activities planned for your kids.
Sarah Baldovinos - Support Staff
Fully bilingual, Sarah and her family (including 9 siblings) moved to Nicaragua 15 years ago to open an orphanage. For 9 years she worked with neglected & abused children, as well as in medical missions, youth outreach, disaster relief and more.
Sarah attended one year of medical school at UAM in Managua before departing for the U.S. to obtain her associate's degree in International Relations. For the past year and a half she has worked at a non-profit foundation in San Juan del Sur, working to improve and expand educational opportunities for the local youth.
